Work, Understood. is the consulting practice of Kargela Consulting LLC, an Arizona limited liability company ("we," "us," or "our"). This policy describes what information we collect through workunderstood.com and our services, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it in plain language on purpose.
What we collect
We collect information you give us directly: your name, email address, phone number, organization, and anything you share when you book a workflow conversation, fill out a form, email us, or become a client. Our website also collects standard analytics data (pages visited, approximate location, device type) through Google Analytics.
How we use it
We use your information to respond to inquiries, schedule and deliver services, send messages you have asked to receive, improve our website, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third parties for their marketing purposes.
Text messaging (SMS)
If you opt in to receive text messages from us, whether as a client whose AI assistant sends you operational updates or in the course of working together, the following applies:
- Consent is collected directly from you, in writing, before any messages are sent. Message frequency varies by the services you have set up. Message and data rates may apply.
- You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. Reply HELP for help, or contact us at mark@workunderstood.com.
- No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, excluding the aggregators and carriers necessary to deliver the messages.
Service providers
We use a small number of vendors to run the practice, such as scheduling, email, analytics, hosting, and messaging delivery providers. They process information only as needed to provide their services to us, and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
Retention and security
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as the law requires, and we take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect it. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, subject to legal requirements. Email mark@workunderstood.com and we will respond promptly. You can opt out of analytics with standard browser tools, and out of text messages by replying STOP.
Children
Our website and services are for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new effective date. Material changes to how we handle information already collected will be communicated directly where we can.
